Come & join us on one of our day trips

ORCHYD also offer Day Trips throughout the year for groups of 6-8 children. These are provided free of charge for participants.

The Day Trips are open to any child who meets the following criteria:

• Aged between 7-15 years

• Has a Physical Disability

• Willing to have lots of fun!

ORCHYD is entirely run by a group of enthusiastic and capable volunteers. All of our volunteers have DBS checks and are fully referenced.
A Health Care Professional will be in attendance throughout the duration of the day trip who will issue any medication required. There will also be a number of volunteers trained in First Aid and issuing emergency epilepsy medication

The Day Trips are to a variety of different places depending on the time of year. In recent years, we have taken groups of children to see pantomimes and visit Father Christmas, visited Whipsnade Zoo, Odds Farm & Gulliver’s Land Theme Park, and even Thomley Activity Centre. Wherever we go, we always have a fun day out!
