Meet the Trustees
ORCHYD is governed by it’s Trust Deed and registered with the Charity Commission of England & Wales. The Board of Trustees are ultimately responsible for ORCHYD activity and to ensure the Charity operates in a safe and compliant way. The Board is made up of 7 Trustees, 3 are representatives from the Holiday Committee and 4 are representatives from Churches in the local area.
Mark
Chair of Trustees
Mark has been with ORCHYD for 15 years, introduced through his involvement with St Martin’s church in Ruislip. He now chairs the Board of Trustees and, more importantly, drives a minibus for ORCHYD.
After a career in the software industry, followed by eight years as a maths teacher, Mark has retired. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoys playing squash, tennis, golf and football, watching Fulham FC, volunteering at Hillingdon Foodbank, theatre, cinema and walking holidays.
Corrie
Holiday Committee Chair Trustee
Corrie has been involved with ORCHYD for 25+ years! She chairs the Holiday Committee and leads the Children’s selection team.
Outside of ORCHYD, Corrie is Head of Finance at a large children’s charity, is a Girl Guide leader and loves spending time with her family.
Lin
Treasurer & Holiday Committee Trustee
Lin has been with ORCHYD for 15+ years. She is the Treasurer for the Charity, sits on the Holiday Committee and leads the Outing’s team.
Outside of ORCHYD, Lin is the family liaison at a special needs school, is a Girl Guide leader and enjoys time with her family and friends.
Mikee
Trustee
Mikee has been volunteering with ORCHYD since 2015. He joined the Board of Trustees in 2018. He can often be found at the Reception desk on the holiday and supporting Fundraising events.
Outside of ORCHYD, Mikee works as a Television Director but he would much rather spend his time skiing, or cheering on Brentford FC.

Rachel
Holiday Committee Trustee
Rachel has been volunteering with ORCHYD for 13 years, after Lin encouraged her to ‘pop down for the afternoon’ to see what ORCHYD was all about! She leads the Day Trips team and sits on the Outings team. Outside of ORCHYD, Rachel teaches at a special school, is a Brownie leader and loves to cook
Ken
Trustee
Ken joined ORCHYD in 2019, he holds the secretariat role for the Board. On the ORCHYD holiday Ken can be found on the reception desk.
Outside of ORCHYD Ken is a retired technical accountant, holds other voluntary Board positions and loves travelling. Fitting in Board meetings can often be a challenge around Ken’s holidays!
